Moreover, ALLPLAN with its flexible nature offers multiple designing processes like two-dimensional drawing or object-oriented BIM working approach. The platform allows team collaboration for optimized business, increasing overall productivity and accelerating progress. ALLPLAN supports smooth data exchange through its high-quality interface and compatibility with conventional file-formats including DWG, DGN, DXF, PDF and IFC4. A BIM aided design feature enables users to check for errors and conflicts within the virtual model during the design phase, avoiding delays during actual construction. It acts as an interdisciplinary platform for engineers, architects and contractors, helping them in integrating construction and designing processes across multiple stages of any project. At last, the software enables users to create 2D, 3D, or virtual walk-through presentations that can be displayed on desktop, tablet, or even smartphone.read moreĪLLPLAN is a comprehensive BIM solution for the construction industry, helping business houses meet uprising challenges in real-time. The software comes loaded with open standards and workflows, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams working on an individual project, regardless of what kind of software they are using. I should create a Revit vs ArchiCAD 'm too busy having the ability setting up my templates/family components to do what I want them to do, not what someone gives me 100 settings to build one lousy window or door that still doesn't look the way I want it to be.Archicad is a Building Information Modelling (BIM) software that architects, engineers, and construction companies use to design beautiful 3D building models and layouts alike. What's funny from a Salesperson's point of view.I went to the sales pitch/demo for AC 8.0.now this was before Revit.the closest program to AC at the time was Architectural Desktop and they were pitching that AD would be gone in the next 2-3 years! Hmmm.Think its been 7 or 8 years since.AD is still around and now something even better has emerged. Did they fix the need to be a programmer if you want to do a window or door that happens to NOT be in the o-so-easy window setup module?I HATE AC's dimensioning.thanks for bringing that up.if you don't get the cursor just right it won't update if you move a s not like you can TAB to make sure.the cursor changes when you get right constraint.Īs for the custom window/doors.Revit API makes more sense to me. Aka: dimension stuff, change the geometry, manually update the dimensions Did they fix the non-referencing dimensioning already? About a year ago an Archicad-adept (who is now seriously working on his Revit skills) told me Archicad dimensions are not live references. This site I spent lots of time on.but the owner decided that houses from the local builder supply was cheaper.even though he paid us to design all of this to CD level. Nothing fancy, but it shows AC is pretty decent.but I was limited to just what came out of the box which drove the architect I worked for crazy. Pic is small, but I was working on this house before I left the company (they couldn't figure out why I left.probably something about my paycheck bouncing.twice).The 3D view was 3 different models linked into one and rendered. Also AC is great for folks working on Log Homes. In short, ArchiCAD is great for architects/designers building houses.for what I work on now I would shoot myself if I was given ArchiCAD to do it. I could answer all those comments.but you will find a bunch of them already over at AUGI. Yeah.and the list is about that long for all the stuff that Revit can do that ArchiCAD can't.and quite a few of those are obsolete with the release of 2012.
